By far, the biggest challenge new founders face isn’t in building a product or service - it’s in learning marketing.
I’ve seen it constantly, both in my own businesses as well as those I’ve worked with at Software Ideas.
On March 17th, I quit my job as a Software Developer to go full-time as an entrepreneur.
It was an incredibly proud and exciting time for me, something I had wanted to do, had dreamed of doing in the past, and thanks to Software Ideas (the project originally born out of my own research for my next SaaS), I decided to take the leap and chase the dream.
This week, my brothers and parents are coming into town to (responsibly during COVID) celebrate Thanksgiving. Since I normally work mornings, nights, and sometimes weekends on Software Ideas, this means I had to re-organize my schedule to make sure I got everything done.
I got an email today for a free trial that I let expire.
I was pumped about the product at first. I even tweeted about how it would change the way I work.
The business book industry is crazy, and I love it.
That being said, it’s challenging to find time to read all of these books. Moreso, for each topic there are hundreds of ‘best’ books out there.
